Dosing Protocol

GHK-Cu 50mg is administered once daily via subcutaneous injection. Inject at a consistent time each day throughout the active cycle. Because GHK-Cu contains copper, cycling is mandatory, do not use continuously beyond 12 weeks without a rest period. Cycle length: 12 weeks active, 8 weeks rest. The rest period is driven by GHK-Cu's copper content, copper accumulates with continuous use and the off period allows clearance. Do not skip or shorten the rest phase.
In biohacking forums, cycles of 8–12 weeks at 1–2mg/day are common, with a 4-week rest between cycles. These are community-derived, not clinical. Always complete the standard 12-week cycle first, and keep rest periods at least as long as the active phase.

Administration Timing

Inject once daily at a consistent time. Evening dosing aligns with the body's overnight collagen synthesis window and is preferred by most researchers.
  • Evening preferred: Injecting in the evening aligns GHK-Cu activity with peak overnight collagen production and tissue repair signalling.
  • Consistency over timing: The same time each day matters more than the specific hour. Choose a time sustainable for 12 weeks.
  • No food restrictions: Fasted administration is not required. Inject before or after meals without affecting activity.
  • Rotate injection sites: Alternate across the abdomen and outer thighs to minimise local tissue stress across a 12-week daily cycle.
  • Mandatory rest: Stop at Week 12. Rest for 8 weeks before repeating. Copper clearance requires the full rest period.
Protect the reconstituted vial from light between doses, UV exposure degrades GHK-Cu.

Notes & Best Practices

  • Copper accumulation, mandatory off period: GHK-Cu delivers copper into tissue. The 8-week rest period allows the body to clear it. Do not extend cycles past 12 weeks or shorten the rest.
  • Micro needle for intro phase: 7 units on a standard U-100 is difficult to measure accurately. Use a 3mL micro needle syringe for Weeks 1–2, then switch to standard U-100 from Week 3.
  • UV sensitivity: GHK-Cu degrades under light exposure. Store the vial wrapped in foil or in a dark refrigerator compartment. Draw doses quickly and recap promptly.
  • Effects build over the cycle: Anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects are typically noticeable within 2–4 weeks. Collagen and skin remodelling changes compound from Week 6 onward and continue after the cycle ends.
  • Discard at 30 days post-reconstitution: Do not use beyond 30 days regardless of remaining volume.

High Dosage Side Effects

Taking too much GHK-Cu can increase side effects. Signs your dose may be too high:
  • Injection site redness or irritation: GHK-Cu is generally well-tolerated at the injection site, but persistent redness beyond 24 hours suggests local overload. Reduce dose and rotate sites.
  • Metallic taste or copper-like sensation: A persistent metallic taste can indicate elevated copper levels. Reduce dose and extend the rest period before the next cycle.
  • Headache or mild nausea: Reduce dose and hold for 3–5 days before reassessing. These typically resolve as the body adjusts.
  • Fatigue or lethargy: Step back to the previous dose level and hold for one week before increasing again.
If symptoms persist after dose reduction, pause the cycle and consult a healthcare professional before continuing.

Low Dosage Side Effects

A dose may be too low if expected effects are absent after consistent use. Common indicators:
  • No skin firmness or texture improvement after 6–8 weeks: Collagen remodelling takes time, assess at the end of the full 12-week cycle, not mid-cycle.
  • No reduction in fine lines or improved elasticity after 8–10 weeks: Confirm injection technique before adjusting dose. Intradermal placement near target areas improves local uptake.
  • No wound healing improvement after 3–4 weeks: If healing response is absent, confirm dose accuracy using the draw reference and verify reconstitution concentration.
If well-tolerated after a full 12-week cycle with no response, take the full rest period and reassess on the next cycle before considering a dose adjustment.
